According to the statistics of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the production and sales of motorcycles increased by a month-on-month basis in June 2014, representing a year-on-year decrease. In the first half of the year, the sales and sales of motorcycles in the industry surpassed 10 million units, down markedly over the same period of last year.

In June, the industry completed 1,822,200 sets of motorcycles and 1,845,300 sets of motorcycles, up 3.22% and 5.76% respectively month-on-month, down 7.25% and 7.27% from the same period of last year. Among them, the output and sales of two-wheeled motorcycles were 1,663,100 and 1,651,900, up by 4.36% and 7.23% respectively, down 7.92% and 7.84% from the same period of last year; the sales and sales of three-wheeled motorcycles were 193,000 and 193,400, decreasing by 5.48% and 5.33 respectively %, Down 1.14% and 2.07% from the same period of last year.

In the first half of the year, the entire industry completed the production and sales of 10,372,100 units and 10,417,400 units, down 8% and 9.05% from the same period of previous year, a slight decrease from the first quarter. Among them, the sales volume of second-hand motorcycles was 9,244,800 units and 9,295,400 units, representing a decrease of 8.65% and 9.76% as compared with the same period of last year respectively. The decrease of sales volume was slightly smaller than that of the first quarter while that of the third-stage motorcycles was 1,217,300 units and 1.122 million units, down 2.32% 2.68%, a decrease of 2.92 and 2.9 percentage points from the first quarter. In the first half of the year, the production and sales rate of motorcycles in the whole industry was 100.44%, down 1.15% over the same period of last year. By the end of June, the total inventory of the whole industry was 644,300, down 4.2% from the same period of last year.
